Gallery Director and Gallery Coordinator Experience
1999-2006 Gallery Director: American InterContinental University, Buckhead Campus
In charge of working with all departments coordinating exhibitions that relate and were pertinent to each Program. Also brought in guest lecturers that usually were part of the exhibition. Also invited guest curators to curate certain special topics. Was responsible for all programs of annual student exhibitions in each program and graduating senior exhibitions. All invitations and announcements were created by AIU students. I was responsible for creating mailing lists. Press releases were my responsibility. I also made sure that the exhibitions were reviewed by AJC, Creative Loafing, and Northside Neighbor. Signage was my responsibility, also the reception announcements were created by AIU students.
1973 – 1983 I was in charge of the Gallery at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham, AL. Those duties included senior exhibitions for each graduating Fine Arts Student. These would begin as early as March as there were so many students. Each student had a week and had to design their own invitation. Each had a reception. Other duties were to find affordable travelling exhibitions that supported the many programs of this school.

Selected Collaborative and Installation Exhibitions
Anderson’s collaborative work at City Hall East in Atlanta, GA, titled Index in1999 was with 10 national artists across the US addressing how artists work and use index processing to create their work and also a follow up exhibition in Pittsburg,PA at Gallery 8 addressing the same theme in 2000. This is only a few of her installation pieces. In 1981, Anderson had a one artist exhibition at the Birmingham Museum of Art, Birmingham, AL, titled Leaves and Passage: Books as Painted Ideas. This was an exhibition based on the concept of passage through her handmade paper books based on the themes of time, memory and desire; the passage of time and notation for the future: a very esoteric and sensuous exploration of walking through, touching and folding the pages of these one of a kind handmade books along with hanging handmade paper ladders. These handmade paper ladders led her to create a larger series of handmade paper ladders that were installed in various labyrinthine installations at the University of Alabama in Birmingham Gallery, Birmingham, AL, and at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, NC.
